While in Peru I learned how to offer Despacho ceremonies. The Quechua people of Peru have been offering this healing for thousands of years. This is a gratitude offering to the land, sacred directions, and ancestors. Such an offering is made for many reasons. For example, getting a new job, marriage, buying a home, a new baby, a death, coming of age and a request for healing just to name a few.
We are given so much, including our bodies, from the land and Despacho is a way to acknowledge that we understand this and that we are very grateful. It is a way to give back from the heart.
